Voicemail
Four rings and a beep.
- A message you'll listen to on Sunday, maybe
- No idea which job it was about
- They ring someone else instead
- Nothing on the program
Optional add-on to Rory
Hands full, or it's 8pm. The subbie who can't make Thursday tells your voicemail, and nobody hears it. Rory picks up instead.
In build now.

“Hey John, it's Rory, Jack's assistant. He's on the tools. What's happening?”
“Yeah mate, can't make Thursday. Can we push the rough-in to Friday?”
“No worries, Friday's clear on the Henley program. I'll flag it with Jack and he'll confirm.”

Rory already knows the program, the contacts and every job you've got open. Then the phone rings while your hands are full, and whatever gets said never reaches any of it.
Nobody rings twice. You find out on site, days later, when it has already cost you.

Rory on Call
Rory only gets handed what that caller is allowed to hear. Not a rule it's asked to follow. A thing it was never given.
Rory will happily say
What it won't do
A subbie and a client hear different things, and you set which is which per job. There's a preview that shows you exactly what your client would be told right now.
Not a voicemail list you'll never listen to. Every call is a line you can scan over smoko.

A banner while the call is live, so you're never wondering what your phone is telling people. When it ends, it turns into the answer.
Add it for the one person who lives on the phone, or the whole team.
Nothing is ported. The calls you don't pick up get forwarded on, and that's the whole change.

1call
You hear what your callers hear. It isn't live until that passes.
It's in build now. The first group is a handful of builders who help shape it before it opens up. Email kosta@folkware.com.au and you'll be in that group, not on a mailing list.
No. You keep your number and everyone keeps ringing it the same way. You turn on forwarding for the calls you don't answer, and those land with Rory instead of your voicemail. Nothing is ported, and you can switch it off from your phone in a few seconds.
The limit is in the data, not the instructions. Rory only gets what that caller in that role is allowed to hear: never a price, a margin, whether you're running behind, or what your other jobs and clients are. A client can't talk it into a number, because the number was never in the room. Delays and disputes come straight back to you.
An answering service is bolted to your phone line, so all it can do is take a message. Rory is bolted to your jobs. It knows the bloke ringing is the framer on the Henley job, so it can tell him Friday is clear and have the change waiting on your program. That's the difference between a message and the job being handled.
Rory stops answering, tells them to call triple zero if it's an emergency, and puts a call and a text through to you immediately. Safety words are watched for at every point in the call, not just at the start.
No. It's an optional add-on, priced per person on top of your Rory. Turn it on for the one person who lives on the phone, or the whole team, or nobody. Rory is the same product either way. What you can't do is buy it on its own, and that's deliberate: it only works because Rory already knows your jobs, your contacts and your program. Without that it would just be another service that takes messages.
Yes. Two Australian voices, one man and one woman, and you pick which one your callers hear. The test call during setup plays in the voice you chose, so you hear exactly what they'll hear before it goes live.
The first group is a handful of builders who help shape it and get it before anyone else. Tell Kosta you want in.
No form, no drip sequence. It goes to kosta@folkware.com.au and he reads every one.
